WHAT IS MEANING OF "RATE ANALYSIS" ? AND FACTORS EFFECTING ON RATE ANALYSIS FOR IMPORTANT ITEMS

During rate tender contract it is necessary to submit item wise rate analysis. for getting the works

contractor have also required to submit rate analysis for all tender items.  Item rate for any items of

work includes all required for the execution of work.

Rate analysis means to determine the rate of particular items considering the factors affecting on the item.

Hence following factors should be consider while calculating item rate for any item in tender.

Factor to be consider  in Rate Analysis :-

1. Cost of Materials which is purchased from Dealers.

2. Labour cost. ( Skilled & Unskilled Labour )

3. Sales tax, transportation, excise duty on construction materials. 

4. Allowance for wastage of materials during construction.

5. Equipment, tools, machineries ( Machineries operators cost , If machineries on hire daily , monthly , yearly rent should be considered )

6. Temporary structures ,Scaffoldings, and approaches for doing construction work.

7. Water, electricity, fuel 

8. Sundries 

9.Contingencies.

10. Overhead charges (office expenditure, water tanks, pumps, supervision, stores and godowns).

11.  Profit ( Depends on nature of works.)
